I hope you are all well and are getting in to the festive spirit. We certainly are here at the club with lots of activities taking place. Life in the pro shop has been busy with lots of people coming in to do their Christmas shopping with us. Remember we are your number 1 shop for any golfing presents and we welcome all friends and family in to purchase any gifts on your behalf.

Junior Christmas Party
Last weekend our Junior Golf Academy had their Christmas party.
There was a great turnout with some fun and games taking place in the clubhouse such as "knock the Christmas cards down with a chip shot" and "putt through the bar stools and in to the putting cup".
All the juniors had a great time and a big thanks to Pete and James for hosting the event and to Nicola and Tom for keeping the juniors fed and watered. Everyone who came walked away with some Christmas treats and a smile on their faces.
The Junior golf Academy has really grown this year and we are hoping to build on this next year as we continue to try to develop junior golf here at Teign Valley. If you have any children you think may like to try golf then please bring them along on the new year to join in the fun.
Club AGM
Last Wednesday was the annual club AGM with a decent turnout coming along to attend and support the outgoing Captains as they were invited to review their years of captaincy and of course hand over to the new incoming Captains. I would like to personally thank Maggie, Ted and Derek for doing a great job this year and also for all the support they have given to myself, Chris and James. I would also like to wish lots of luck to the incoming Captains Jo Horton, Pete Duncan and Stan Jones.
Also at the AGM the outgoing Captains presented a cheque to the Rainbow Living Charity.
Mens Texas Scramble
A good sized field took part in the fun format which was a Texas Scramble on Saturday. Scoring is usually very low with the format lending itself to attacking golf. The winning score was posted by the team of John Simon, Mark Hooper, Ian Williams and John McDougall who posted a brilliant 56.3.

Pro Shop Christmas Draw
This years Pro Shop Christmas Draw is well under way with lots of you coming in to buy your tickets. At £2 a ticket you have the chance to win some superb prizes.
The draw itself will take place at the Captains Drive in at the beginning of January.

So Christmas is definitely on its way and so is the start of Christmas of Christmas shopping. As usual we will have all your golfing needs and wants in stock in the Pro Shop. We would like to help your family and friends buy you the golfing gifts you would love this Christmas.
Request Book
Non members are always welcome at the club so please feel free to send them up to buy any gifts you have suggested. We are keeping a book of present requests so all you need to do is let us know exactly the item you want someone to buy you and we will write it in our request book. You then tell your friends or family what it is you would like and then they can come in to the shop and purchase it as we will have a record of exactly what you want.
This is perfect if that friend or family member is a non golfer as this can sometimes be quite confusing or awkward for them when they come in to shop.
Don't forget as well that anything we haven't got in stock we can get in for you but be sure to allow enough time for delivery.
Remember we are open until 4pm Christmas Eve. Lets make Christmas shopping easy this year for everyone.
