I hope this finds you well and that you've managed to play some golf this week. There is definitely a different feel in the morning and evening now that the temperatures have started to dwindle. Having said that the days have remained warm and mainly dry which is very positive news as we look to extend the golfing season before Winter descends. There are plenty of events to play in so keep looking on intelligent golf to make sure you don't miss any sign ups.

Studio opening date confirmed
I'm delighted to announce that the grand opening of our Coaching and Fitting Studio will be Saturday, 1 October. I'm inviting some special guests along to assist me on the day and the studio will then be open for members to go in and have a look around. We will be running a FREE to enter nearest the pin competition on one of the par-3s at Hazeltine - the venue for the Ryder Cup which takes place over the same weekend.
I'm extremely excited to reveal what the studio has to offer as I feel we are providing one of the best facilities in the South West. Over the opening weekend there will be a unique opportunity to purchase a Winter Golf Membership for the studio at a superb saving! There will be limited availability so be sure to pop along over the weekend and secure your membership. More details to come next week.
Winter coaching packages
Winter is a great time to evaluate your game and to work on areas that regularly cost you shots. This will enable you to start 2017 with a game geared for better scores and more enjoyment. The following packages will be available from October 1st and will run until 1st March.

Iddesleigh Cup
Dave Robinson continued his rich vein of form as his nett 63 saw his handicap reduced to 10. That's a seven shot reduction in the last two weeks. Well done, Dave. James Reed also continued his fine form as his gross 67, nett 65, won Division One and lowered his handicap to one. Well done, James. Rob Gough was runner-up with nett 67, whilst Neil Harper came runner-up in Division Two with a nett 68. Nick Old signed for a nett 66 in winning Division Three, beating second placed Dean Lyne-Ley.
Ladies Greensomes
Liz Harding and Carole Raymond won the Ladies Greensomes event on Tuesday with a very good 41 points. Joy Champion and Caroline Harris were runners up with 39 points.
