Hello golfers,  

Wow is all I can say! The US Masters more than lived up to its hype as a very emotional Sergio Garcia claimed his long overdue first major. The standard of golf was once again sensational with both Justin Rose and Garcia doing battle through the back 9 as it became a 2 horse race. At one point it looked like Rose had control but after that amazing par save on 13 followed by a birdie on 14 and eagle on 15 put the result into doubt. In the end it was Garcia who managed to see out Rose in the playoff and finally lost his tag of the best player to have never won a major. It was a hugely popular win and just shows that you should never give up on your dream.

Well Done Tom

Tom my new assistant has just finished runner up at Weston Supermare in the first PGA Assistants event of the season. His 72 was pipped at the end but was a good score in blustery conditions and on fast greens. He also finished 4th last week in the PGA Medal here at the club where Ben had bragging rights by finishing 2nd. I was a disappointing 10th. You will be seeing plenty of me on the putting green in weeks to come.


 

Ladies Record Great Win  

Well done to the ladies Still Cup team who beat a strong Torquay team 4-3 at the club on Monday.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to come along and trial and get fitted for both Titleist SM6 wedges and Scotty Cameron putters. There will be product for both left and right handed players and there will be a Titleist fitting expert on hand to help guide you.
