Welcome to another edition of the weekly newsletter. It’s been a fairly busy week at the club despite the frost causing a few course restrictions, but it’s great to see so many of you wanting to keep your golf going over the winter months. Over the next few weeks we will be doing a lot towards helping you get ready for the new season so please keep reading the newsletter for more details.

Upcoming Fitting Days

As new product starts to be released I have managed to secure a couple of early season fitting days for you to take advantage of. There are some fantastic new products out for launch this year and its great that we have some expert fitters to come down and help fit you into the product that best suits your game.

Titleist Fitting Day - Wednesday 7th March

This is a superb opportunity to come along and get fitted for any of the following:

• 917 Drivers and Fairways
• 818 Hybrids
• 718 Iron Range
• Vokey SM7 Wedges

Fittings will take place in the golf studio and with wedges also the short game area.

The Great British Sports Show

The Golf Professional Team spent the weekend over at Westpoint as the first ever Great British Sports Show was held with 25 different sports on offer for children and families to try.
We were asked to run a golf activity and took our inflatable net as well as our launch monitor from the golf studio which we hooked up to a TV and managed to run a nearest the pin competition.

Although there were not as many people attending as we thought we still managed to attract a good number of people to come and have a go at golf and it was a nice mix of juniors, ladies and gents.

We are hoping we may have managed to get some to sign up to both our Get into Golf programmes and our junior golf academy.

Ball testers required!

I am need of your help! I need 4 golfers to be able to test the new Tour Soft Golf ball from Titleist. The 4 testers will be given a sleeve of 3 balls to take away and test with the idea being in a couple of weeks time that they provide honest feedback which I can then publish in my newsletter.

Wins for Wendy and Mary

On Tuesday a decent field of ladies took to the course to play a 13 hole stableford. Leading the way in Division 1 was Wendy Parry who recorded a superb 35pts. Runner Up was Kathryn Jose with 32pts and 3rd Kym Kortland with 31pts.

Mary Dawrant won Division 2 with 30pts. Joy Champion was runner up with 29pts pipping Pat Nicks on count back. Division 3 was won by Becky Murrin with 28pts beating Jenny Taylor on count back. Jackie Harris was 3rd with 27pts.
