With the Women’s British Open taking place at Woburn this week, we thought now is the best time to look at why you should be getting more iron in your diet, especially with accuracy playing such a pivotal role for the players this week. With the Ashes also taking place, we also have a fantastic Video of the Week as two of England's best ever bowlers go head-to-head in the 14 Club Challenge.

We were at it again...

Last week we reported on the Ladies Pro's Day, well this past weekend we once again hosted another Pro's Day. This time it was the turn of the men and again we had antoher very successful day with other 200 players competing for a prize table worth £3000. Thank you to all those who played over the two events. We certainly had a lot of fun!

Home hopes – who are you backing?

The wet conditions faced at the Evian Championship last week could well be the perfect preparation for the world's best as they head to Woburn for the Women's British Open, which begins on Thursday.

Last year saw home-grown hero Georgia Hall fire a sublime final round five-under-par to overhaul Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum and claim her first Major championship. But will there be a repeat this year to make it back-to-back British women on the top step in their home Major?

Hall will no doubt be one of the favorites and along with the likes of Charley Hull, Bronte Law and Meghan Maclaren (to name but a few) who are all flying the flag for the British Isles, so there is plenty of reason to get excited ahead of the fifth and final women’s Major of the year.

1 gap, 2 gap, 3 gap, FORE!

How confident are you hitting your long irons? The lack of forgiveness can lead to inconsistent strikes and less distance. This is when filling the gaps at the top end of your bag with utility irons or hybrids could be the smartest decision you ever make – but which is right for you?

U-500 and U-510 utility irons

TS2 and TS3 hybrids

It's time to stop thinking of these hybrids as rescue clubs and begin referring to them as scoring clubs. Both offer plenty of distance and an easy to hit nature, with the TS2 providing a higher launch from a wider head and the TS3 giving us more adjustability in an iron-like profile.

A ball for every occasion

Let’s be honest: we're greedy when it comes to our golf ball, and rightly so. We don’t want to have to choose between distance or feel; instead, we want a ball that offers us the lot so we get maximum help on every shot.

Picture the scenario

You’re out playing a round with your friends and you've just used your ball to hit a delicate flop shot over a bunker to a few feet and knocked it in for par - top job! Following a short walk to the next tee, you’re then stood on a par-5 needing to smash your Sunday best as far down the fairway as possible.
