We hope you're well, been bathing in the sunshine and enjoying your return back to golf - we've certainly enjoyed seeing club members back on-site and taking part in all the facilities we have to offer here at Exeter Golf & Country Club.

Can you believe it's Masters week (again!) in just a few days? It wasn't too long ago that we sat in awe as Dustin Johnson's remarkable game tamed the unforgiving Augusta National. Who do you think will come out on top next week? Reply to this email with your favourite!

Major season kicks off this week

European golf fans, cover your eyes! The WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play was not pretty viewing for Padraig Harrington & Co. as the States dominated, with Billy Horschel defeating Scottie Scheffler in a scrappy final. Who can blame them considering it was their 7th match in just four days!

The Major Championship season kicks off this week as the world’s best lady golfers head to California for the ANA Inspiration. Last year’s tournament saw Mirim Lee shock everyone with a comeback win including two chip-ins, an 18th-hole eagle and a three-way playoff! A host of the game’s stars, including the Korda sisters (Nelly & Jess), Lexi Thompson and Danielle Kang have all been in fine form this year. It’s destined to be a cracker!

Hopefully, it won't be long before you're teeing up in major club competitions once again, so why not book yourself in for a lesson or two to sharpen up your game?

Staying grounded this season

You quite literally want to stay grounded as you play golf this year. I’m not expecting you to float away like a balloon, but without the right footwear there is a chance that your ball will.

The obvious place to start here is with an outsole that grips the turf both as you walk and as you swing, letting your mind focus on playing golf.

You’ll also want a stable platform that allows you to swing without compromise and produce your best shots every time, as well as underfoot cushioning so that you can walk to the course with a smile on your face.
