Hybrids are the way forward - One of the best inventions to hit the golf market in the last 10 years is the hybrid. Designed to take the place of longer irons, life has never been easier to hit your long shots more consistently. I haven't carried a 3-iron in my bag for years as my hybrid allows me to hit shots at points a long iron wouldn't. It's not uncommon for us to fit golfers now with irons down to 5 and then carry a 3 and 4-hybrid. We hold a selection of hybrids in stock along with demo products for fitting.
We are always trying to educate our customers about the importance of having your clubs custom fitted! We hold demo product for all of our hardware manufacturers to allow us to provide you with the ultimate custom fitting experience combined with our GC2 simulator giving us all the data we need to fit you correctly. Make golf as easy as you can for yourself....this is something I regularly say to people who invest in their game and come to see me. Over the past few weeks it has been noticeable how many golfers have accepted this premise. Instead of toiling with a 3, 4, or even 5-iron that are hard to hit, have very little loft and a club they admit they don't use, they are being swapped for easy to hit, high launching, hybrids.
For me the concept is a no-brainer. Change from only hitting a 4-iron once a round and off a fluffy lie to an equivalent hybrid that you can use from tee, fairway, rough and even around the green. Clubs should be used to fill a gap and do a specific job - if a long iron is at best a surprise when hit well then it is an obsolete club.
